Inspired by dating experience both personal and through research, this piece looks at the impossible image women are often faced with when exploring on line dating. From adjusting ones age to attract partners who are of the same age as them, to battling ones self image through photoshopping. During research it transpired many men look for a woman ideally a good decade younger than themselves. Someone who is younger, slimmer and prettier without necessarily paying much attention to any written profile. On line dating sites sometimes appear to promote the visual platform, like going into a shop to buy groceries without researching any of the ingredients.
