Loosely based on the artist’s experience of a toxic affair, the painting attempts to capture the relief felt from heaviness, sorrow and pain of an unstable relationship. Standing with arms held high, releasing the past as the figure holts in her tracks in the sand, no longer destined to follow the footprints of him.
