This painting took the best part of 2016 to create and was finally finished just days into the new year, 2017. It is a synopsis of the artist’s year of turmoil, depression and finally healing, after a very difficult relationship breakdown. It is a visual memoir of this time and the road to recovery with key images as markers along the way. On the right we have the figure in Black depicting the shadow of her former self through to taking steps towards finding  her inner child and to finally, rediscovering her love of art and painting once more.
